Then the free study-like training as a speech teacher/echo researcher (DGSS) and speech teacher/echo researcher (DGSS) at the testing centre in Aachen is just right for you!

We will train you to become a Speech Teacher (DGSS) and Speech Scientist (DGSS) in parallel to your Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and Communication Science.

At the beginning of 2016, the DGSS test centre at the ISK was reopened under the direction of Dr. Katrin von Laguna. Together with her team Dr. Heiner Apel, Dr. Josefine Mendez, Björn Meißner and Bernd Christmann, she trains selected students in the areas of rhetorical communication, speech training, speech science, speech therapy and speech art. In addition to their regular university studies, graduates of the DGSS training programme receive a qualification that enables them to work in continuing vocational training, the media, at schools, colleges of education, universities, theatres and other institutions - wherever speaking and oral communication play a special role.
